Used in patients with liver cirrhosis to assess the severity of the clinical condition.
Five variables are considered (severity of ascites and of encephalopathy, abnormality in the serum bilirubin, serum albumin and clotting times), and a score (of between 1 and 3) is accordingly assigned to each of these factors. This grade is used as a general means to verify the prognosis of the patient.
Child A 1 yr survival: 100%, 2 yr survival:85%
Child B 1 yr survival: 81%, 2 yr survival:57%
Child C 1 yr survival:45%, 2 yr survival:35%

Modified Child-Turcotte-Pugh classification of the severity of liver disease according to the degree of ascites, the serum concentrations of bilirubin and albumin, the prothrombin time, and the degree of encephalopathy.
ReplyDeleteA total Child-Turcotte-Pugh score of :
5 to 6 is considered class A (well-compensated disease);
7 to 9 is class B (significant functional compromise); and
10 to 15 is class C (decompensated disease).
These classes correlate with one- and two-year patient survival:
class A: 100 and 85 percent;
class B: 80 and 60 percent;
class C: 45 and 35 percent.
I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
ReplyDeleteliver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
