What is the diagnosis?

  1. The endoscopic image shows a 15 mm diameter subepithelial lesion with central umbilication in the gastric antrum located 3 cm from the pylorus in the 5 o’clock position. EUS shows a heterogenous lesion limited to the mucosal/submucosal layer.
this is a typical pancreatic heterotopia (“pancreatic rest”). The central umbilication represents the drainage point of the ectopic pancreatic duct. This can be diagnosed by image recognition, as well as occasionally with deep-well biopsy, snare polypectomy, and endoscopic mucosal resection.

  2. Ectopic (or heterotopic) pancreatic tissue, also called a pancreatic rest, occurs in 0.5% to 14% of the population. The most common sites are the stomach, duodenum, proximal jejunum, and ileum. Less commonly they are seen in the umbilicus, bile duct, gallbladder, and Meckel’s diverticulum. Pancreatic rests have been associated with ulceration, bleeding, and intussusception, and rarely pancreatic adenocarcinoma may result. Treatment is surgical resection if the patient is symptomatic.

  3. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
