Mesalazine delivary system

Question:
A 60 yrs old man with 35 yrs history of well controlled UC was seen in the cllinic for review. His meantanence treatment comprise of sulfasalzines.
on what does the mechanism of action of sulfasalazine depends?

1-cleavage of an azo bond by colonic bacteria.
2-pH dependent release in the ileocaecal regeon
3-Slow release in the small and large intestine through ethylene cellulose coating
4-Timed release following alkalsation in the duodenum
5-Trypsin mediated release in the distal small bowel
